I think it's the front spoiler and flares that kill it for me. The original simple, clean design is just perfect as is.

I heard that it was a neater way to get around the crash bumper regulation. I don't know if it's true or not but I like the story.

I'd want two Countachs, one original LP400 with no frills or wings, and one thats all coked out with the front wing, etc.

Yes that's a great idea! One of both Countach types

The Countach was still somewhat attainable only a few years ago. I saw some for sale for $95K. Now they are hundreds of thousands of dollars :(
